One Piece is officially off the air in the US as of 12/23/2006.
It might be just a rumor on other forums but if I find a good source I'll post it here.
I think this is good yet bad.
Good
-Its good for one because 4kids who edit the dubs make One Piece look like shit. Like Sanji's voice, they ruined that and a whole bunch of other stuff.
-Two, this gives an opportunity for a different company to license it such as Viz or Funimation. *Note* Viz is the company that has the current license to Naruto. Funimation has the license for Dragonball Z.
Bad
-People in the US wont get to enjoy the entertainment of One Piece  and will lose sight in the US. Thus leaving One Piece in the Japanese culture instead of expanding it to the US.
So hope fully this is true and hopefully a different company picks up the anime and does a better job than 4kids BLAH!

i'd go with it being more of good than bad. are they still going to be releasing the eps on dvd though?

I thank god for this,one look at the 1st opening of one Piece in eng and i wished 4kids would die for that.
I say Funimation is best for the jop,I really hate what Viz did to naruto since they all sound stupid and not fit for there voice roles,Funimation in the other hand although they still sucked in duping DBZ they at least did a better jop than the rest,so I say Funimation is the best choice.

I'm actually happy they stopped. 4Kids sucked..... badly.
I hated how they switched parts of a cartoon made for kids to fit "their perception" of what kids should watch.

I heard the same thing in another forum, and I am glad. I remember discussing about it a long time ago, and even signing some kind of online potition for something about the One Piece crap dub (don't remember exactly what it was lol)
I could actually careless if it is picked up in the U.S. again...I mean..well...we already get it off the internet >.>

I think it is a good thing that people in america got to watch one piece on T.V but not with the amount of changes they made(especially switching sanji's cigerette for a lollipop and don't even get me started on the voices)I'm pleased 4kids aren't dubbing it anymore ^^
